Havign worked in various parts of teh aerospace supply chain I can offer experiance in various aspects of managing an SME QMS including understanding client requirements, working with suppliers and dealing with supply chain issues.
thyssenkrupp Aerospace
Responsible for the five tkA sites in the UK. In addition to the traditional raw material stockict activities also offered cnc machining, waterjet profiling, routing, tube cutting, kitting as well as sub-contract operations such as heat treatment and boring. Worked with all main aerospace and defence suppliers including Airbus, Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, GKN, Moog, UTC and others.
Aviation Metals
Acted as Quality Manager for the Milton Keynes site offering raw material stockist and value added activities such as cutting, kitting and sub-contract operations. Held CAA BCAR approval for material supply. Implemented AS9100 and AS9120 approvals and drove improvements to quality performance throughout the business.
Bodycote Heat Treatments Limited
The Cheltenham facilty provided vacuum and air heat treatment to both the aerospace and commercial market as well as vacuum brazing. Included the vacuum heat treatment ofsingle crytsal blades for Rolls Royce and Howmet among others. Having started as Chief Inspector after graduation I was appointed to Technical Manager responsible for AS9100, CAA and customer approvals.
